As advised by page after page after page---I searched for my problem in already existing posts. : (

I bought my 4th edition of Limewire Pro a while back. Now I have a problem: I type in a song request and get ooooodles and bunches of choices to download. OR another time when I log in, I get no results at all.

It isn't that the songs are rare or unusual. I typed in the most common I could think of, and still no results. Several of them. NO results.

Try it 24 hours later, and I get results again--lots and lots.

What is it with the on again/off again in the program?

You could be nearish some fake ultrapeers you are connecting to.

When you say lots of choices to download, are you sure they are not fake, at least a % of them? Check the topics here about corrupt or fake files, etc. -> MAJOR TOPICS for Upload/Download HELP

I'll move your post to the mac osx section. Stief might have some ideas.

BTW you may be having a problem with Out of Bounds searching (OOB). This can be disabled via your Speed settings.

The choices that roll in when Limewire is "connected" are great, along with the usual detritus. I ignore all that. But they're not fake, as when Limewire downloads, I get almost all the songs. Next time I start up---no song has any choices. It's feast/famine <-- you know, if music is the food of the gods,play on!

Hence the trite metaphor.

Thanks for what you've sent so far. It just seems odd to be either all on or none on.

Sometimes you may connect via dud ultrapeers. If it happens again, make a note of who you are connected to via the connections window. Close LW, open 5-10 mins later & see if have same problem. If yes, then remove some of the connections if they are the same as before on the Connections window.

Some days are certainly better than others, as are times.
