To aid helpers in solving download/upload problems, LimeWire and Frostwire users must specify whether they are downloading a torrent file or a file from the Gnutella network. Members need to supply these details >>> System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) Moderators There are senior members on the forums who serve as Moderators. These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment.  Did you run Software Update until there are no more updates to install? There were quite a few between 10.5.2 and 10.5.5 Once there are no more updates to install, restart your computer in Safe Boot Mode.  it works but...no sounf!!!!! it works in safe mood but then i cant use the sound so if im using lime wire i cant watch movies or do anythingwih sound so is there any other peranent solution that lts me use sound |

| Just do a normal restart now--sound (and wireless, and probably some other extensions) will be back. Those extensions are not loaded in a Safe Boot. Glad to hear java no longer crashes and LW can load. This means it should work normally in a regular boot too. If not, at least you have some idea what extra extensions are causing java problems. | You could set up a Test account on the computer, see if LW works there.  I wonder if the issue is graphic card (video card) drivers. That might be why the newer LW versions refuse to work on my mac intel. (LW 4.16 is the last version I can apparently use. Which has some bugs which keep appearing now & again.) |

| I have a problem with my limewire too. I have Mac OSX, 10.5.5. I tried installing limewire several times but as soon as it opens it closes! My software is up to date. I have been reading some topics relating to the same problem but I didnt fix my problem. And i went to console messages and relating to LM it says - invalid memory acces of location 00000000 eip=005b6ac8..I have enough disc available. I really know little about computers - still learning - and i hope u can help me. My brother has a PC and he has no problems with his LW. Thank u |
