Default Limewire update doesn't work

I update LimeWire to the new version Mac OX 10.4
and I try to start it and nothing happens. What's the problem?
I need help.

Did you also run Apple Menu-> Software Update until there are no more updates to install?

No I didn't, however I updated the java and trashed the preferences for LimeWire.
Should I do all the updates even if they don't seem relevant? like Numbers udate or
Keynote update?

I can't tell if the java updates are dependent on other updates, so IMHO, yeah I'd run them all.

If you are comfortable with the Terminal, you can see what gives with
Code:
java -version
For OS 10.4.11, I get
Code:
java version "1.5.0_16"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_16-b06-275)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_16-132, mixed mode)

Phex and Acquisition are also java apps, so they will likely have the same problem.

did you see if the safe boot and/or new user account tricks worked?

Otherwise, post or message me the results of the Console errors when LW tries to start and maybe there's more info there about the problem
