Sharing vidio files

Hi

I'm using Limewire 2.2Pro to mainoly share vidio files. It's so slow! These are HUGE files. The bandwidth I can get using a 768kps cable modem line is only 20KB/s at a good time. I've looked over the forum back to messages posted in November. It appears there is no way to directly connect with another host and directly download. Has anyone found a way to improve this? Any other sharing programs out there for Mac OS X that work better for this purpose?
