jfox is flying high
Default Quick time took over all downloads

I cant reinstall LW because every time I do QuickTime tries to run the download and doesnt open because it's not a movie.

On another note, the reason Im reinstalling is because the LW search screen will come up but will not search anything. It seems that it doesnt complete its file share enabling. I havent trashed the original LW yet so if thats an easier fix, then fine. Id rather fix the former though, since that is messing up a lot of things

Thank You

Juliet

stief has a spectacular aura about
Default

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Is Quicktime trying to open the .dmg installer?

In Safari Prefs->General, is "Open Safe Files after Downloading" UNchecked?

If so, then once the "LimeWireOSX.dmg" installer is downloaded, use "get Info" (command-i) to see if "open with" can be set to something other than Quicktime.
