![]() I am not able to download the latest version of Limewire because I have an older OSX version, but I am able to install Limewire 4.12.6, which was recommended. I can open it and I see 5 red bars, which states I have a connection, but it indicates that it detects a firewall. I've checked all of my system preferences and no firewalls are on or active. I tried to download a song it doesn't do anything. I've uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting my computer. What do I do? |

![]() Yes I did try your suggestions and still nothing. My firewall is off and I have no idea where it's detecting the firewall. I've uninstalled and reinstalled LW. I've disabled every suggestion on the links you sent to me and and the only thing that slightly changed was the connection. Instead of 5 red bars, the smallest bar is green and the rest of them are red. But the firewall is still showing a brick wall. Also, I've disconnected and reconnected and restarted my computer. I've even changed the Listening Port to 65000, which was the suggestion. The Linksys model is a Wireless-G Broadband Router made by Cisco Systems and model #WRT54G. The modem I have I received through Yahoo! which is a Speed Stream made by Efficient Networks. It's an Ethernet ADSL Modem...modem access code 2434912088...if this helps. I don't know what else to do. Please help! |

![]() That particular model Linksys is not one of their better ones. It has firmware problems & can be unreliable. Best advice would be to port forward it. ie: Set up a static ip first PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall & then follow Linksys instructions on forwarding a port. ![]() Sorry for slow response, I've been away. |
