If you are on OS X 10.4 or a PPC mac, you need to use version 4.18.8 from Lime Wire » Download LimeWire |

Sounds like OmniMech is attempting to use the LW version 5 beta which requires Java 1.6. Unfortunately when LW 5 'full' version is released, Tiger OSX 10.4 users will not be able to use it. If you are using Leopard OSX 10.5, then go to your Java preferences (found in utilities folder), and make Java 1.6 the first or second to use in priority. Setting up Java for Leopard |

I watched in both & I have a 30" screen. Perhaps I need glasses. You only have 2 java's listed in your preferences. I have 4 on mine. Java SE 6 64-bit, J2SE 5.0 64-bit, J2SE 5.0 32-bit, J2SE 1.4.2 32-bit. So it appears Stief is right, Java 6 (1.6) is unavailable to non intel users. After some quick research About Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 2 it appears Java 1.6 is only available for intel macs because it's designed in 64 bit. Your mac is not an intel mac right? That's why you would not have 64 bit versions of java. |

Apparently not. It's built in Java 1.6 so that's a requirement. I hate the way mac limits updates to their newest OSX's, except for security & iTunes updates. pfft All about money I guess. (users of earlier OSX versions are even more limited in versions of LW they can run.) LW 4.18 or earlier will be fine for you however. |
