![]() Sorry if the answer to my question is super obvious, I am horrible at computers. ![]() I downloaded Limewire 4.12.8 about a year ago and it was installed to both my account flawlessly and my moms account on our Mac. My version wouldn't connect so i couldn't download. But it would on my mom's account and it worked fine. I got frustrated and deleted my Limewire. Little did i know that it got deleted on my mom's account as well(im so dumb!). And now im trying to download it again. Once its done downloading, i try opening the LimeWireMac.bin and it creates a Limewire_Installer folder. I try opening that and the Classic Startup opens up with a message saying: 'Classic cannot find a Mac OS 9 system folder on the startup disk to us. You may need to install Mac OS 9.1 or later on your comp. To select a system folder on another volume, click Open Classic Preferences.' I try opening it because im frustrated at this point, and yet another message appears: 'No Classic system folder. You dont have a version of Mac OS 9 installed that supports Classic. Install Mac OS 9.1 or later.' Again, i apologize if this problem is really simple to fix, but computers really confuse me. Thanks again for any that take time helping me!! |

![]() Ah .. the 4.0.10 version is only for OS 8 & 9. And should only be installed whilst actually booted into those operating systems (if possible.) I think it can then be run whilst OS 9 is booted up as classic environment in OSX however if desired, though might not run as well as being booted up into OS 9. You will find 4.12.15 version link just near the other link: Lime Wire » Download Out-Of-Date Installers. It depends which operating system you wish to run LW on. ![]() ![]() If you wish to use 4.0.10, you should update your OS 9 to 9.2.2 & the equivalent java for best results.
