Unhappy Limewire 5.1.1 and itunes problems

Hi. I just upgraded to Limewire version 5.1.1 and went to download some new music on my Macbook. Suddenly the files are not going into itunes like they did with my previous version of Limewire. I have made sure that in Preferences it is in fact set for the music to go into my itunes. Please help me. I have no idea what else to do, and I would very much appreciate any help. Thanks

Uncheck the option for iTunes to auto import, press ok & leave preferences. Then go back & re-check option. You may need to restart LW not sure. That normally fixes it.

But ... also, go to your LW download folder, drag & drop the file onto the Library icon on iTunes. If it does not import then the file might be fake.

Thanks. I can't believe it was something so easy to fix it. Now I feel dumb for even needing to ask. Thank-You very much.

That's been a problem with iTunes auto importing for several years. Unfortunately after a long session or if LW is very busy, iTunes might stop auto importing. For that reason I always double-check my music downloads have been added to iTunes by checking the Recently Added playlist to be sure. It's a little time consuming but at least I know for sure.
