Very simple question ...(How do I cancel a download?) Okay, my question is so simple that I should've been able to figure it out on my own or find it in the FAQs, but that hasn't been the case. How do I cancel a download? I tried to download a song. There weren't enough sources. Limewire keeps trying, bless its little heart. I just want to let the software know to give up already. I don't need the song that badly. I tried to just delete it. I tried selecting it and seeing if there was a cancel or delete function in any of the menus. It's got to be easy. I'm just not seeing it. BTW, fairly new MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.6 and Limewire 5.1.2. Thanks, Andrea (Vita) |
Control-click the file in the Download window, select Cancel download from menu that appears. That will also delete the incomplete file. :) |
That worked perfectly. It was far less user-intuitive than I'm accustomed to (spoiled Mac user that I am), so I feel far less stupid. Thanks! |
I know what you mean. LW 4 had those types of options in separate buttons at the bottom of the download window. It was plain to see. :) |
You're right. I remember that. So I kept looking under View to see if I had that function hidden or something. |
