Trouble with install (MacBook running Tiger) I have a MacBook running Tiger. I had an older version of LW on it, when the hard drive crashed. I went to install a new version of basic LW after replacing the HD, and I accidentally downloaded the one for Leopard. I trashed it after I was told it wouldn't work and went to download the correct one for Tiger, but it won't let me install it on my Hard drive, only on my external hard drive. I get a dialog box that says this will replace the newer version with an older one. When I click continue and try to install, I get another dialog box that says "you cannot install. there is nothing to install." What do I need to do to wipe my Macintosh hard drive clean enough to install the latest version of LW basic? Thanks in advance. |
I had limewire before but now it wont wrk so I un installed it but now it wont install. When I click the limewire icon nothing happens |

If not, do a safe boot (hold down shift key until you see the apple icon as you reboot), then repair permissions with Disk Utility. Then reboot normally. See if that helps. :) If still problems, use Software Update to see if there's any updates awaiting. You might be missing the later Java versions in order to run LW 5 properly. ;) Again, do a safe boot & repair permissions after any software update. |
That did it! Thanks for the help! |
