![]() If you are unable to scroll down that window, even by attempting to grab it then ... Most effective way might be to delete your LW preferences whilst LW is closed, however you will need to backup your Downloads.dat file first; Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX. LW must be closed when you return the downloads.dat file to the prefs folder. ![]() |

![]() I just tried LW 5.5.9 & the window shows up fine for me in order to choose selective parts of a torrent. This tends to suggest a slight corruption in your LW preferences. Did you upgrade? There's also the LW beta 5.6.x to consider also. Oh .. seems they have a different link, but there is LW 5.5.10 beta http://www.limewire.com/download/releases/latest_beta. Changes in versions can be seen here http://wiki.limewire.org/index.php?title=Changelog For torrents, Transmission will automatically give you a popup window when adding a torrent that has multiple parts. For Vuse, control-click the file & choose Show Details, click on Files tab. Then control-click on the files you wish to change priority to. I'm not sure of an easier way to do this in Vuse, someone else might know. I usually choose delete for the parts I don't wish so in that way it deletes the space from the HDD also. ![]() |

![]() Those "random" parts downloaded, aren't that random. it has to do with piece size. The client will download whole pieces. Let's say piece size on the torrent is 1MB. The file you want from that torrent is 41.1MB. If this is the first file then 42MB will be downloaded, where 0.9MB will be from the second file. I.e you will get a 0.9MB partial file. I don't know of any client, which downloads and seeds a partial piece. BTW both Vuze and uTorrent have the option of accessing and prioritizing/weeding out specific files from the file list after the torrent has been added, as well as upon adding the torrent. So why you even bother using a joke torrent client goes beyond me. |
