What is Fastnet/

I'm sure that I'm not the only one to run accross the term Fastnet. It seems this is available to our Windows bretheren using Bearshare/Kazaa, and maybe other software. Is there a Mac version? Does it work? What kind of download speed can it achieve using broadband ISPs?

Something like that. It supposedly is faster in downloading. At least that is what they promise (wink wink). You never know, that's why I'm asking here.
