![]() Hey i appreciate that, uh however i did try that, i called MAC and they actually went that route, i will do it again to make sure i have admin rights, i dunno why i wouldnt i have never changed that on the computer itself, i mean the computer always ask for my password when downloading someting or adding somethng, so thats why i was thinking an abnormal spy or someting, i will have to recheck make sure i am in charge of my computer, sure i am but will try again. thanks |

![]() I have had the experience of LW installing in an odd way, giving permissions to the system & not to the user (even as admin). However this was an issue in some earlier versions I haven't seen for a couple years from memory. One way to overcome this is to make the installer with your permissions in same way as I suggested above (before you install obviously.) I have permission issues when installing into a different account after downloading in my main account on same computer. So I change permissions of installer to be sure no such issues. |

![]() Ah, let me see if understand you right, so your saying before i downloaded limewire i should have or it would have been good for to check and see if i had the rights? Uh i wouldnt have known to check that, also i have had it before and deleted before with no problem, but i will still try what you say above, |

![]() Both my OSX & Application folders are set to allow Admin & System to Read & Write. LW has read & write permissions of each individual Administrator account. Try a safe boot, ie: hold down shift key as you boot up until you see the Mac icon. This way of booting up keeps only the most basic extensions, etc. to be enabled by the system. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility. Then try deleting LW. (Safe boots take much longer to bootup.) Another option might be starting up with an OSX bootup dvd disk. |
