Angry Stalled downloads

OK. I keep having a problem with stalled downloads using Limewire Pro. I'll be cooking along with a download at decent speed form single or multiple hosts - then nothing. "downloading from ####### hosts (etc)" coming a 0kb/s. I've waited for the download to resume (I once waited 7 hours). I've even tried redoing the original search. Sure enough the file I'm downloading will show up in the new search, but the new source (or sources) will not resume my download. I've had to hit the "kill dowload button," and retry downloading the file from the new source. Sometime it restarts were the other download left off; but mostely it doesn't. I am getting really frustrated! Why do I have to babbysit Limewire like this!?

I sometimes find that force quitting limewire and immediately restarting will resume the stalled downloads at the previous speed. Annoying and somewhat risky, but it works 70% of the time.

Default Stalling out

Yes, I have the same problem. It seems to work for about 5 minutes and then all the bandwith seems to jam up. Is it because of the Morpheus network and modem users claiming to be t1 connections?

Why would a modem user claim to be a T1 connection? It doesn't make it any faster...I think

Actually I have a 1.280 Mbit ADSL connection, and yet I declare a slower speed, so I do not get a gazillion people downloading from me and slow me to a crawl. What would the advantage be to declare a higher speed than one actually has?

P.S. Use Audiogalaxy Sputnix for music sharing.
