Problem with multiple monitors... Okay, this is a pretty trivial bug, but it's a bug none the less. I use a TiPB with a second monitor attached at the office. While working I use LimeWire on the second monitor screen (the non-startup screen.) Later, if I go home and use the TiPB without a second monitor and launch LimeWire, it still places the window off the screen. And since the "Quit" command is in the window, I can't even close the program. Great software. Keep up the good work. |
A possible workaround when going from two monitors to one: - Make sure LimeWire is quit. - Locate and open the limewire.props file in a text editor. If you can't find it use Sherlock since newer versions put this file in a different spot. - Locate the WINDOW_Y and WINDOW_X settings. The values for these settings should be fairly high since these are the number of pixels from the upper-left corner of the screen to put the upper-left corner of the window. - Lower these values, my file has these values: WINDOW_Y=61 WINDOW_X=87 - Save changes and reopen LimeWire. |
