Connection problem with mac OS9

Somehow limewire tries to connect but no chance! Started about 4 weeks ago. in between it worked for a brief time but with low amount of hosts...then nothing!
On my PC however it works fine..thats why i thought its maybe mac-specific
Any suggestions?
