![]() I'm running LimeWire 2.4.1 and OS 9.2.1 on a PowerBook G4. Everything was working flawlessly until a few days ago. Now when I launch LimeWire, the user interface doesn't appear and none of the LimeWire menu items appear in the menu bar. The Finder says LimeWire is running but there is no other indication that it is. I uninstalled LimeWire, downloaded a new version and installed it but I'm still having the same problem. I received the following error message and sent it to bugs@limewire.com but haven't received a reply. LimeWire version 2.4.1 Java version 1.1.8 from Apple Computer, Inc. Mac OS v. 9.2.2 on PowerPC Free/total memory: 18518571/22560768 java.lang.NoSuchMethodError at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject(Compiled Code) at com.limegroup.gnutella.DownloadManager.readSnapsho t(Compiled Code) at com.limegroup.gnutella.DownloadManager.postGuiInit (Unknown Source) at com.limegroup.gnutella.RouterService.postGuiInit(U nknown Source) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Initializer.initialize( Unknown Source) at com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main.main(Unknown Source) at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(Compiled Code) at com.zerog.lax.LAX.main(Unknown Source) at com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMStaticMethodDispatcher.ru n(JMAWTContextImpl.java) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java) I'm really happy with LimeWire and am planning to upgrade to the Pro version, but only if I can get the program to work again. I'd greatly appreciate advice or suggestions from anyone who can help. |
