Angry MP3 downloads hijacked by QuickTime

I also am having problems with my new LimewirePro2.4.4. My MP3 downloads are saved as QuickTimeMP3 files and that SUCKS!!!!!!!!How do I change the preference so the MP3 files will be saved as iTunes or Soundjam files ?????? I would like to be asked How I want my MP3 files saved.
Any suggestions how I can change my MP3 settings ?

The first thing to do would be to browse through the other posts -- this is a common problem and has received answers here numerous times before.

1) Go to control panel "File Exchange" and change mp3 to iTunes. If Limewire ignores this, then

2) Go to versiontracker.com and get a little freeware prog. called "iTunes Associator", which will change creator and type of any file you drag to it to iTunes.
