![]() How do I make it so when I launch tracks in my library, iTunes is the player. I recently bought an iPod and have been able to transfer tracks, but I'd like to be able to download and then hit launch and have iTunes automatically start playing. Is that possible? |

![]() thanks for the advice, but the first choice didn't work. I guess I'm a bit of a novice but when I tried going through the file extensions part - I don't really understand how I select MP3s. I saw mp3U on there, and when I tried to add to iTunes, it put me through some mapping screen. If you could be more specific that would help me. Thanks again for any advice. |

![]() Hello! Sure I will help you further! Do this! Go To Apple menu>Control Panels>File Exchange In here just click the add button. Now you will be presented with a new window. In this window browse down the list of programs untill you see iTunes select it.Now in the text area suffix write mp3.Now under the "File type pull down menu" select mp3 as the format. Now click the Show advanced options button and make sure that the following options is selected: Connect incoming Connect outgoing Raw data And from the second pulldown menu make sure to select the option Handle/Process with program(or something similar) and not the option "save to file".Notice! You still have to have iTunes highlighted in the program list otherwise it will be the wrong program that will be assigned the extension. Now click the "Hide advanced options button" and then click Add and you are done but you have to repeat this entire procedure once more but instead in the file type pulldown menu select MP3(With capitalized letters). The other options should be identicaly selected as you did above. This is so that mp3 files that you download that has the mp3 extension written with capital letters also will be played correctly trough iTunes. Please let me know if it worked! Hope That I have Helped You!
