![]() There are 2 possibilities. If you want the files to launch itunes when double clicked the you have to change the type and creator code using the get info function of ResEdit or a similar app like Techtool Lite. Quictime is "mp3" (or mpeg) and "TVOD". itunes is "mp3" and "hook". Do not include the quotation marks. Doing this will also change to the proper icon. If you just want the file to play in tunes then add it to your itunes library from within itunes... from the file menu choose "add to library". |

![]() 1) The easiest solution is to get a little freeware program at versiontracker.com called "iTunes Associator" which will change creator/type automatically. 2) In the control panel "File Exchange", make sure that mp3 is set for iTunes, not QuickTime or RealPlayer. Some PC users actually use RP for mp3's, so when you get one of those, it really isn't an error. Even if these are set properly, check also the control panel "Internet". Despite all of these precautions, sometimes you still get overridden, in which case, just use Associator. |
