Search button doesn't work

When I upgraded to LimeWire 2.5.5, the search button quit activating; i.e., it stays "gray." It had been running perfectly. I'm running Mac OS 9.2.2.

My search button doesn't work either

I was running along well, sharing files, downloading files. Then my G4 froze with Limewire running, and now my search button is grayed out. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it doesn't make a difference. I'm still using the basic free version on OS 9.2.2. Any ideas?
