LimeWire Works Now....Thanks To All on This Forum! I took advise from best place possible...here...and now LimeWire Rocks my mac! I increased memory as suggested and disable Norton auto protect and now I have no probs. I have a G3 Blue & white with 128MB/6GB/350Mhz. Now I can continue with my file transfer with ease. Thank you all again. :-) |

I've tried increasing allocation memory to 90 MB (160 MB physical RAM on a Powermad 8600 w/ 400 MHz G3 upgrade, no other applications running) and I still have problems. Basically, the screen elements fail to refresh; sometimes, if I click on different areas, those areas will be refreshed, but not always. Right now, Limewire 2.6.3 is working fine (memory allocation back down to 30 MB), but it *will* fail, it's just a matter of when. Frequently, the problem occurs immediately after launching the app, or right after a search. |

That's the biggest headache to me--the fact that the screen can't refresh or redraw (however you want to put it). Sometimes if I have a full screen it takes forever for Limewire to show that it's searching for particular files. Other times I'm clicking around the screen in order to get buttons and text areas to show up. |
