trouble launching limewire on my ibook

I have Limewire installed, but when I try to open the program it begins to open, asks me to setup stuff, then either opens a blank window and freezes or shuts itself down and disappears without any message of any kind. I read in the FAQ to check for some spy file but it wasn't on my computer and the software that they told me to download to get rid of it wasn't for a MAC anyway! What do I do now?
