Default Java application error

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(Compiled Code)
at com.zerog.lax.LAX.main(Unknown Source)
at com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMStaticMethodDispatcher.ru n(JMAWTContextImpl.java)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java)

This error seams to be common between Mac users can we gat to the bottom of it, or can limewire allow us to download version 2.6 which works fine.

I am also experiencing a java application error. When attempting to launch LimeWire Pro I receive a Fatal Application Error.
The text of the error message reads as follows: “Unable To Launch Java Application. Unable to locate the application’s “main” class. The class “.com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main’ must be public and hav a “public static void main (String [])’ method LAX”. I am running Mac OS 9.2.2 and have MRJ 2.25 installed. I would appreciate any suggestions.

I'm getting the same Java application error message that many other people seem to be getting. this Sucks!!! I didn't want to upgrade in the first place but when I tried to open my old version I got a message which said that I HAD to up grade. Now I have no Limewire at all. Don't they test this stuff???

Default Java Class Error

Hi LimeWire...

Same error as the rest. I purchased the Pro version, hoping it would releive me of my dilema, but to no avail.

Let me know when you've correcteed the error.

Best to you and the team.

This is really ridiculous. I thought about buy the pro version but this is a joke. I'll find something else to use from now on. This software isn't worth all the aggravation I'm going through.
