Question It has been my experience.........

I could be wrong, but I don't think .dmg downloads work with a Mac. I think they are pc DLs.

Anyway, I use the filter in options to ignore them.

Also, I think it is a no-no to mention file names on the BB.

Have a nice day.

Thumbs up .dmg files

Hi,

dmg file are disk image files for the mac, to open them you need to go to your utilities folder and open 'disk copy' and then locate the dmg file. This will mount an installer file on your desktop and hey presto.

*I have also heard that Final Cut Pro has a pretty impressive piracy code in it, so you may have problems.*

Cool Mac OSX disk image

If you are using os9 and disk copy you will have .img files. A .dmg file is an osx, (that's 10) disk image, from disk copy mostly, but many other programs use them too. Toast for one. The key words here are OSX files. If you are running anything less than os10 the file will do you no good because more often than not the software is for os10.
