Brian Christmas is flying high
Lightbulb 2.7.13 freezes, but recovers data!!!

G'day from Oz.

I've just installed 2.7.13 and had had quite a few complete freezes when closing it.

However, quite remarkably, it has not lost any queued or partial downloads on re-booting. This is a real change, and most welcome.

I'm running a 233 mhz rev 1 G3, 9.2.2., 192 meg.

In the last few weeks I have worked out a simple technique for recovering all the data just in case LimeWire does lose it all, and it also allows you to keep separate download groups for other users (such as your kids). It works well for older versions of LimeWire.

As I worked it out, I wrote a guideline, which I've attached. It's still in a draft, as I'm still testing LimeWire 2.7.13.

It's in a 12K simpleText.sit, and should open twice hopefully (to a .sit, then a SimpleText, complete with resource fork), but you might have to drop it on Expander.

Regards

Brian Christmas
