Thumbs down Why it doesnt work on my iMac?

Hi,
I've tryed several times to install Limewire since i installed MacOS 9.2.
The problem I get is that when I'm extracting the installer file, it goes strait to the trash. The files resultant are "InstallAnywhere SEA.log", "IA JavaInstaller (delete) XXXXX"and "IA MRJInstaller (delete) XXXXXX". XXXXX are ramdomic numbers. I've tryed to take it out of the trash and rerun the files but it still don't work.
I'll I have to go back to Windows???

Thanks

PS: Alguém aí fala português?

G'day from Oz

This is pure guesswork!!

The first thing is download the new version, and make a copy of the download before you try to open it.

To copy (Duplicate), use Command-d.

Then, only open the copy.

If it don't work, make another copy and try it .

As well, get rid of every LimeWire folder you can find. Do a search to find them.

Check if there's a folder in preferences called

.limewire

and trash it to. It's at the top in List View.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Santa

I made it and nothing changed.
When i took the files out of the trash and opened it, i got an alert saying that the aplication ">>ZGNativeUtilLib<<" could not be iniciated.
Is there some Java problem? or what?

thanks

G'day from Oz, Cafe.

To be honest, I'm not sure.

I suggest you re-install Java from your startup disk.

You might have to remove the Java folder from your Applications/Utilities folder first, but don't trash it, in case you need it back.

Just move it to the trash before the install, and back out to your desktop straight after the re-install.

The latest version is 2.5.5 for system 9.x, not sure about X.x, or how to re-install for it.

I've installed 10.1.5 just a few days ago, and it stripped Sherlock from my 9.2.2, so I could not search for the file you mentioned, and I'm in 9.2.2 at the moment.

Classic is useless, so I'm going completetly to Jaguar.

Regards

Santa.
