mpeg problems I can't play any of y mpeg files that I download off limewire. it says that a component is missing. what do i do to fix this problem |
Which program says a component is missing? Ivan "In the dark we make a brighter light" |
me too! The program is quicktime and I get the same message. Also, unlike the "manual" says, I have no play buttons at the bottom of the screen. How do I get limewire to play the movie? |
**** limewire playing the movie. Try updating quicktime. gointo youer system folder and open quicktime settings and look for update and update that puppy. that should fix the problem. |
quicktime settings There is no folder called quicktime settings in my system folder nor any on my hard drive. Also, I tried updating quicktime but was then told when I tried to play a video on limewire that "unfortunately, that setting is not available" or "a compressor could not be found and you may have trouble with the video track". ???? |
Not all mpeg files will work with Macs. MPEGs created on Windows machines sometimes have software that the Macintosh players can't emulate, at least not yet. |
