me too!

The program is quicktime and I get the same message. Also, unlike the "manual" says, I have no play buttons at the bottom of the screen. How do I get limewire to play the movie?

**** limewire playing the movie. Try updating quicktime. gointo youer system folder and open quicktime settings and look for update and update that puppy. that should fix the problem.

quicktime settings

There is no folder called quicktime settings in my system folder nor any on my hard drive. Also, I tried updating quicktime but was then told when I tried to play a video on limewire that "unfortunately, that setting is not available" or "a compressor could not be found and you may have trouble with the video track". ????

Not all mpeg files will work with Macs. MPEGs created on Windows machines sometimes have software that the Macintosh players can't emulate, at least not yet.
