What's your average download time per song?
 

I am using a 500 mhz iBook w/cable connection on a Motorola Surfboard 3400.

My average download time for one song is anywhere from 3-5 minutes. Speeds between 3 K/s or 33 K/s. If I choose to download 4-5 songs at once, my average download time is between 8 and 15 minutes (speeds between 2 and 8 K/s). All downloads are from cable/dsl or T1 hosts. All highlighted in green (I'm assuming that's a good thing) w/ four stars.

Is this average? What are your normal download times? I'm curious. Is this normal for Macs or Limewire? I don't mind, but it seems like taking more time only increases your risk for error or an unsuccessful download. Please post, I'm curious to know what level everyone's performing at. And or any ideas on how to speed up the process. Thanks.

I am running a 500 mHz dual G4 with OS X 10.2.3 and LW 2.8.5 Pro, on a 768/384 DSL connection shared with two other Macs.

Your download/upload speeds are about like mine fyi. Note the adjustments you can make under LW "Preferences."
