Default re phil-uk's suggestion

tried typing in the forward slash to the filter field, but no difference. The next attempted large download came to the same sticky end.

What with Cannot move to Library, Requery sent, Queued 500th in line etc, the download failure rate must be above 90%. Still, it's all stealing so I shouldn't moan.

Does anyone out there at Limewire Galaxy HQ have any comments on Cannot move to library?

Default Airhockey sounds promising

Airhockey

You are as wise as the wizard in Tolkein. Sounds like a practical solution, thanx.

The Gnutella network should not be considered stealing . This is a way to test all products, music, videos before you go out and purchase them If the vendors don't get any money why would they continue to create new programs .

PeterH- did you try the procees above. It has always worked for me

Default Maybe CAN transfer to library now

thanks to Airhockey. Think yu may have solved the problem. Incidentally, I too am using 2.8.5, so perhaps a Limewire glitch.

sigh. trying 2.8.6 now (on OS 9.1), hoping the problem would have gone away, but no luck. incomplete files that apparently Can't be moved to library... not that they're ready to go there anyway.

i've seen it happen to files with no unusual characters in the name (just letters and a dot), and as small as 14MB, so I doubt it's related to size or filename.

thanks to Airhockey for the tip - Kill, switch to Library, Resume. unfortunately it means we've got to babysit the app, but at least we don't have to start over from scratch each time.

ah well - slow, slow progress.

Default cannot move to library

In the beginning when i installed this LimeWire on my mac it worked rather fine.
Now.. after a while - i get this Cannot move to librarary thing.
I have searched for the file but it isn't anywhere
I have uninstalled it and installed it again. I have increased memory and many things. but all my downloads bigger than ?? 1 mb gets this Cannot move to library.
This Limewire is the slowest thing i ever seen and strange also.

I have a G4 400 mhz.
OS 9.2.2
Limewire 2.8.6

I also tried to install limewire on my pc (at work) - but there i got a lot of **** also - like this Monkey thing, Make Money and other strange small things installed on the pc. And it is really slow and the percent downloaded things.. is very very low. If they had any programs and applications on VinMX i prefer to get if from there but it is for PC... but this LimeWire must be a joke or something

Try Myster PR5,

Not as flash as Limewire but then it works well which is all I want.

Have downloaded mov files 1.8 gigbyts long at 50/60 k constant, never had this in Limewire.

Here's where to find it, an oh yes it's free.

Default size does not matter, at least here...

i have gotten the same message with seven files in a row today, at a 1.5, 7 92, 2, 3.1 etc.

8.5.6 on osx 1.5
sometimes it happens with in 1min. othertimes much later in a download

Question Possible Solution

I just started having this same problem, only EVERY file I tried downloading immediately came up "Could Not Move to Library". I went into my Incomplete Files and deleted all of them, starting fresh. Problem solved!

Myster works but it is slower than... don't know anything that slow.. It is Java-based and it is probably something with that , that makes it so slow...
