won't launch completed files in iTunes?

Since i upgraded to Limewire 8.2, it seems like all my downloads are opening in Quicktime rather than iTunes (which is my default audio player/defualt internet sound player). To get them to open in iTunes, i have to navigate to them from iTunes and convert them, a pain. I used to just be able to launch from Limewire and have it go automatically into iTunes. i can't find any preference setting for this in Limewire. Is it just that I'm suddenly getting a bunch of mpeg-only downloads that have to be converted, or is there some setting i can change? Also, Limewire often makes me click through it's configuration screens every time i launch. Whas up? In general, this version has been more buggy for me. Am in OS 9.2.

Do this.

Open iTunes, open preferences for iTunes, under the General tab the bottom line Will say this. "Use iTunes for Internet Music Playback" and then you will see a button that has set written on it. Click on the button, now hit OK. Your good to go. Doesn't matter what version of iTunes you have or what OS you are running, it works.
