Angry lw isn't working for mac os 9
i downloaded the free version of limewire. the program starts up like it's going to run, the main page starts to appear and then the whole thing dissapears. i don't know what's going on or how to fix it. help please!!!!

Default The same problem
I have the same problem. I had LW installed like half a year ago but had to uninstall the program because it kept crashing or freezing to be more exact. Now I want to install the new version but all it does dump some files in the trash folder and that's all. I've tried to install an older version (the link above) but I have exactly the same problem. Pls help us, this is the only decent downloadsoftware available for the mac.

apperntly this guy had the same problem way back in 2001 (and apperntly I tried to give him some advice...)

so going back to an older version is not really an option. Who can help us?

I solved the freezing/sluggish problem: there were 4 shared directories so I went to tools then options, deleted 3 and **so far** all is well.
