Default Blank screen problem!..

I've recently purchased the new Limewire for my mac. I'm running Mac OS 9.1 at the moment but I used to have Mac OS 9. While I was using Mac OS 9 I had been using Limewire for a short time, Then about a half of a year before I upgraded to Mac OS 9.1 Something went wrong with it. I would open the program and the screen would come up but it would be absolutely blank, I could see the outline of it but I just couldn't click on any icons to do any downloading or anything because there was nothing to see to click! I thought by purchasing a newer version of the program would fix my problem but it hasn't, Is there any way of fixing my problem? Please help, It s been really frustrating... Thanks for your time.
Sophie

Have you tried increasing the memory for the LimeWire application? I believe that was the cause for the disappearing screens.

Good luck.

You increase the memory of LW as you would any other application. Close LW. Find the application and click on it once, don't open/launch it. With it selected go to "File" in the main menu bar and select "Get info" (or command - the apple key, and "i"), no quotes nor parenthesis). This will open a dialog window showing the name of the chosen app and beneath that "SHOW: General Information" Click on General Information and choose "Memory". In the Preferred Size Box increase the memory to what ever you desire, depending on the memory in your machine and how many other apps you generally have running at the same time. I generally double or triple the "Preferred Size". If that runs you low on memory for other things you are doing, you can alway go back and change this. BUT you can only do this when the app is NOT active.
