Question Files not showing in library after renaming

If this is a stupid question...sorry. I renamed some mp3 files in my shared file for better clarification, but when I went back to library in Limewire, they had disappeared. I can still play them from shared file, but not from library-which is not a big deal, but if they are not in library, are they available to other users?

This may be a dumb question right back at you, but, do the new names still have the ".mp3" extension?

If so, it's also possible that LimeWire is "hashing" them. When you move files or change them, they have to be re-hashed. They may show up shortly. Maybe run LimeWire for a little and then check again...

Default lost mp3s

Yes, the files still have the mp3 extension. It has been several days since this happened, and they still don't show up in the library. Not sure why.

Did you move any files around to a different folder? Changing the name shouldn't remove them from the Library.

Did you double check to the path to your Shared Folder? (Tools, Options, Sharing). Maybe there is a problem there?

Has LimeWire been running the whole time, all these days? Did you try clicking the Refresh button in the Library? Or try shutting down LimeWire and then restarting.
