Exclamation errors

I installed Limewire and then about 12 hours later (my computer was left on this whole time) it began beeping at me telling me there was a problem with my harddrive that needed to be fixed. I restarted it only to find that it would not let me, it told me to turn of the extentions (shift key) which i did, and it still did not let me. At this point we have tried everything we can think of to get the thing started and all has failed. Any help? is this a problem that downloading Limewire created? What can I do to fix my computer? I am currently using my laptop and was goin to download limewire onto this but wasn't sure whether that would create the same preblems as on the desktop which would leave me with no computer at all! HELP!!!!

Haven't heard of this as LW related. Can you boot off another disk and see if the disk used up all the free space?

Did Norton beep at you? Post back with your specs and maybe someone can help, but it sounds like a system/disk problem.

I'd start off a Norton cd, if you have one. Run Diskdoctor then optimize.
