Lw2.8.6

LW 2.9.8 does not search for reconnection to a lost source. You must manually do a research. Why is this? I know there was something said about this being abused but I am now practially unable to download a complete file (unfortunally confined to a 56k modem). I am sure the previouse version did a research and would reconnect. Are the older versions still doing that feature? Also, after I get disconnected from my ISP (fairly often) I cannot get LM to reconnect, I have to quite and restart LM. Is this normal with this program. I also saw in some of the threads that there are keystroke shortcuts to various features such as spam blocking. Where can I find a list of keystroke features for Mac (using OS9.2.2 and LW2.8.6)

LimeWire decided to put an end to requeries because some vendors were abusing the feature. That also meant requeries sent by LimeWire would now be filtered by LimeWire ultrapeers, so it didn't make any sense to keep sending requeries when they would never have a chance of finding anything because they would not be transmitted by LW's ultrapeers.

When you are disconnected try the File->Connect button. That should work unless you have been disconnected for too long.

I can assure you there are no hidden keystroke shortcuts (I think there are no keystroke shortcuts at all). All features are available as buttons or popup menus.

Maybe not keystrokes, but a cmd/click on search heading will da a re-search. Are there any more such tricks? I was not aware of this and always re-entered my search info.
Did I understand you right that the Ultdrakeeps are not forwarding requires? This means that the watch list is meaningless? When I reconnect after a day layoff, all items on watchlist and incompleted files will not be searched? If this is correct this is not a good thing for modem users.
