Question memory hungry

I have the latest verion of LW, set at 64mb memory, yet it still guzzles up about 170mb!!! Why? Yes, i have a load of files waiting to download, but surely it shouldn't go above 64mb if that's what it's set at? It's causing all sorts of memory probs. Any thoughts?

LimeWire will usually need about 80mb on a Mac. If you have like a hundred active downloads or even more, that value will go up, of course. - IIRC there is also a little memory leak left in the current version, that would cause LimeWire to use lot's of memory if you continuously started lot's of downloads and killed them again.
