Dear laronge,
I wont hold my breath too long on that one........(teehee)

Dear Jack,
Did the Itunes Associator work for you??
If so, I am curious why it didn't work for me.

Again, much Thanx!!

Hi,
I only used it one time when I was on OS 9, it worked fine for me. If I remember right it was a quicktime file.

Inside the iTunes associator folder there is a file you can double click on to e-mail the author. He/She might be able to help you out.

Jack.

You are not alone. It seems LW or IE has, for some reason, changed the file type and creator on my Mp3 downloads.

If you go to www.muchosoft.com, they have a nice little free app called 'muchofileinfo'. When I encountered a blank page icon, I dragged the icon on to muchofileinfo to find the file was an MAmp created mpeg file. Changing it to a TVOD (quicktime) Mp3 file converted the blank page icon back to a QT icon. The file then played in iTunes just fine. This is a pain to do to all your DLs but it works in the short term.

To solve the problem I created a file translator protocol in my file exchange app (in your control panel). Click ADD and have MAmp/MPEG files translated by iTunes.

I also went into the preference section(Edit Menu) of internet explorer to Flie helpers and made sure my QT plugin was handling my Mp3 files. This solved my blank page icon troubles.
