Unhappy Other Applications besides LW??!

I was wondering if there is another good application where I can download music on a Mac. I love Limewire and all, but I am unable to SEARCH and I have tried everything and I'm fed up. I searched download.com for a downloading mp3 application, but I am computer illiterate so I don't really know what to look for! I have a Mac 8.6 so I can't get anything too new. I'd like to get Kazaa, but I think they only have new versions.
If anyone has some last tips for using LW, that would be greatly appricated....otherwise...any new programs???

What are your problems with Limewire first of all? You can't search? Is this becasue there is a red circle in the lower left corner. It would mean you're not connected, and, there have been problems with that for other people.
Mac 8.6 huh? Depending on if your system will allow it, I would upgrade to 9.2. I did so on my other Mac (which was also 8.6) and it although it isn't any faster, it's more stable and offers a broader application spectrum to choose of.
As for other types of software. I think for OS 8.6 Limewire is by far your best bet. I've looked around at other programs (before I even stubled accros you) and find they are low budget, slow, and don't offer as many songs to download. Aside from Limewire, there is Myster 5.0 classic. I think the aprroval rating is about 61%. I supposed I'd be apart of that 39%. I didn't like it as much.
I'll find other programs, but nothing really can compare on an OS 8.6 to Limewire. Let's hear about your troubles with Limewire. Fixable Maybe? I hope you don't fall asleep getting through this.

Default Re: Patience Young One

The only other program for OS 8.6 I found was "MacSatellite" with horrible reviews. Most consisted of a recomendation for Limewire or (segway...)..."Drumbeat" which is only available for a 15 day trial and then it's 34.95. Seems to be in it's programming state. Still lots of kinks to work out.
I had an OS 8.6 and finally gave up to get a new eMac. Sure, the design isn't my favorite, but I got a deal for it ($699?). OS X isn't something to lok past. Of course, I'm not sure how much you're willing to spend.
Hope to hear from you soon.
