2.9.8 RAM gobbler

I'm running OS 9.2.2. I like to keep Limewire running in the background but since updating to 2.9.8 it keeps increasing it's RAM allotment until it begins to slow my computer down. I quit it and launch again. It starts out at about 50mb, in about 4 to 6 days it has engorged to 140mb.

WTF? Is there a way to limit it?
