Limewire launches in QuickTime Movie Player I have a mac running 9.2.2. I am running LimeWire LaunchAnywhere Version 4.5 and iTunes 2.0.4. After I download songs in LimeWire and double click on them the songs are opening in QuickTime Movie Player. I want them to open in iTunes (like they used to). How can I fix this? |

Open iTunes Preferences Open iTunes Preferences. See the General switch in the toolbar window, hit it. One of the last things will say "Use iTunes for Internet Playback" followed by a set button. Click the set button. You should be good to go. |

And Go_Gophers is solving your problem for the future. Reinforcing the default setting in iTunes should ensure that future downloads from the internet are in iTunes format (you may have to do this every time you upgrade Limewire or you suffer an OS crash — monitor the first download after either event). But as to the files already downloaded which have been allocated to Quicktime, you will have to manually add them to your iTunes library or else you will always have to play each file individually through Quicktime. |
