UpGrades to Errors On a Mac running 9.1 w/ no silly extensions or control panels running your installer including a "newer" MRJ reports success in all areas. Then when I restart and launch LimeWire I get this message: -- java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(Compiled Code) at com.zerog.lax.LAX.main(Unknown Source) at com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMStaticMethodDispatcher.ru n(JMAWTContextImpl.java) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java) -- Nice, thank you. |
We switched the Mac Classic installers back to 2.9.10. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling this. We keep having this problem due to incompatibility issues with java 1.1.8 Thanks -greg |
LimeWire has gone Sour! Well, I UN-installed and still get the same errors on reinstall. Time to go look elsewhere for peer to peer... LimeWire has gone Sour! |
Did you download a new installer? Thanks -greg |
Dear greg, I have the same problems as described with my German OS 9.1 and the recent LimeWire version. Is there any solution to the described problems? Where can I get the new installer? Won't switch to the Pro version until this problem is solved. Uninstalling and reinstalling is no solution. Tried several times. What can we do? |
Again, did you download the new installer right now? Thanks -greg |
i've been uninstalling and redownloading the installer all night with no succes...i don't think you've fixed the problem. :( |
error I also updated my good running version of limewire (2.9.8) to 2.9.11 on my powerbook g3, system 9.0.4 and wasn't able to start up anymore java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main at com.zerog.lax.LAX.launch(Compiled Code) at com.zerog.lax.LAX.main(Unknown Source) at com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMStaticMethodDispatcher.ru n(JMAWTContextImpl.java) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java) Sounds familiar?? |
Uninstalling and reinstalling 2.9.10 doesn't work, something has changed even when you uninstall + remove every file which has limewire in it's name!! Please find a solution as soon as possible, and test your updates next time Thanks |
We tried the 2.9.10 that is available on our site and it does work. Thanks -greg |
i only found that version thru someone's signature line in another post...you might want to post a link to it so it's easier to find. i think everyone else was assuming the link for Mac classic on the main page was the updated link but it is the problem link.... |
We appear to have rolled out a new version of 2.9.11 that fixed the problem yesterday afternoon. Are you saying that it doesn't work? Oh, we just checked and it doesn't work for some reason. We seem to have shot ourselves in the foot again. We are again replacing the Mac Classic version with 2.9.10 version. Sorry. The production version is again 2.9.10 for Mac Classic. We are going to try and fix the problems with our build process for Mac Classic again. Having 10 different installers is really getting to be a pain. Thanks -greg |
