avi files

I am running quicktime 6.0 on a Mac Os9.2. I read in a prior thread that one should install DivX to read avi files. This suggestion helped me to see the video. However, the audio portion of the movie still does not work. Any suggestions?

www.3ivx.com has all you need :) First, download the 3ivx codec and then download Divx Doctor II. Install 3ivx and take your avi to see the doctor. It will convert it to a mov with normal sound in just a couple of minutes. And the 3ivx codec is better for decoding video to, so just delete the divx codec.
