![]() With the older version of Limewire whenever I downloaded a song, the file downloaded as a Quicktime file and I was able to drag it right into Toast to burn, now with the newest version the file downloads as a "document" and when I drag it into Toast it has to convert each file which takes A LOT longer. Any ideas on how to get it to download as a Quicktime file again? |

![]() btw, I'm using a G3 running OS 9.2.2. Quicktime 6.0.3, Limewire 3.3.5, Toast Titanium 5.0.2. Before I downloaded the newest version of Limewire yesterday, the mp3s always showed up as Quicktime/movieplayer. I checked my control panels/file exchange and the mp3s appear to be directed to quicktime still, I also checked my IE prefs. and that also is directing mp3s to quicktime. ??? Confusing... since it always worked before the Limewire update. Suggestions anyone? |

![]() It seems you have an idea what to do already. If the File Exchange bit didn't work, go to Quicktime preferences. Find the preference that sets Quicktime as the default player for all media types. Find the one for mp3 and select it. If that doesn't work, try all music types. |

![]() NEETFREEK Question: when you are looking at the list of things to download - are asking for a particular song or are you asking LW for a specific extension? Regardless what you've downloaded, if it is a MP3 and you LAUNCH it from the SAVED folder, your computer is probably using QT as a default player. Try to download a couple of different players. You can get a free version of REALPLAYER from www.real.com. Yoou can also get a nice FREE player from DESTINY. After you have D/L whichever player you like all of for MP3's that you have played on that particular player will p robably default to that player. TRUST ME -- you are not D/L QT files. P.S. Destiny will play MOST of your downloads, RealPlayer will more than likely play almost evrerything. HOWEVER, it seems that as soon as you D/L R/P -- within a real short time they have a NEWer version for you. I use DESTINY most of the time. These are really BASIC players Good Luck GRAPHICA |

![]() Yes GRAPHICA, they are the mp3 ext. when I download from LW. They just show up as QT files in my folders. I do have RealPlayer already on my hd, although I don't use it that often. I'm not sure what it is about it, I just don't care for it. I'll give your suggestion a try Blackbird, and if that doesn't work, then I may have to learn to like RealPlayer. Thanks for the replys! |

![]() The Player of choice for me is DESTINY MEDIA PLAYER. It can be downloaded from www.pirateradio.com and Ipersonally think that it's site is poorly named. However, a bright RED screen comes up and on the top line there is a DOWNLOAD area. hit that and it will take you immediately to a windows area on th top and a MAC area on the bottom. needless to say, hit the MAC, it will downloan a small compressed file that laod onto (probably) your desktop. Again, doulble click that and it will ultimatelu ask you where yoy want to doownload the player to. An installer will appear. Double click, turn up the volume and you are all but listening to you Q/T ??? MP3's GOOD LUCK & ENJOY GRAPHICA |
