what is between your machine and the internet (modem, router . . . ), and which classic installer did you use?

Glad to help another user, but yours is a really tough problem to solve (because the problem may be upstream of your router, and thus out of your hands).

First, to see if it's the router, try connecting directly to the internet (plug the asdl modem directly into your computer, and try your mail or web browser to confirm connection. If they don't, you'll have to set new TCP/IP control panel settings.

Post back and we can try from there.

Ouch--that means the problem is either in your set-up or upstream. The router would have been an easier problem to solve.

OK, back to basics: does your ISP allow connections to the gnutella network on port 6346?

If not, you're out of luck until they do or you can change ISP's.

Your Internet Service Provider--the one you pay so they will allow you to connect to the internet.

see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=20678 for some examples.
