Unhappy Error type 1 on launch!!!!!!

I've tried various versions of the installer, upped the application memory to 128mb and set my virtual memory to 128mb and still keep getting the error when I try to launch the program.

I'm running Mac OS 9.2.2 on a Quicksilver G4 with 640mb of RAM.

Any ideas??

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=55743 says it's a memory or an extensions problem (there was a problem with old FaxStf extensions).

If you need to rule out a physical RAM problem, there are some memory checking utilities available, like the one on the AppleCare CD (TechToolPro). Maybe Google can help with something like http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/4512

Default Error type 1 on launch

I am also having this problem and can't seem to fix it. I have read back through a years worth of this message board looking for any related posts and I have tried suggestions to get no result.
I have tried un/reinstalling several times, downloaded another copy (after trashing all old) , updating mrj, increasing memory to mrj. HELP!
I am running 9.2.2 on a G4 500 D/P 512 ram connected through ethernet to cable. I shouldn't have any trouble but am stuck.
cheers
Andrew
