3.5.8 Freezes While Searching I recently upgraded to the newest version. When I am searching for files and downloading at the same time, the LW program will freeze up for about a minute, then resume where it left off. It continues to do this at random every few minutes but will always freeze up when I try to perform two searches at once. I have found different ways to get around it, like minimizing the application during my searches, but its a little frustrating to have to do that. I tried only loading only OS9 extensions to make sure there was no conflict and already tried increasing the memory to LW. Anybody else having trouble like me? |
LW freezes up during searches I'm having the same problems also. I just upgraded to the newest versions of LimeWire for my Mac and it seems to freeze whenever I'm doing a search. Did you say it resumes after about a minute? I always force quit the program and restart it. Any help would be appreciated. I've already allocated more memory to the program and it doesn't seem to help. |
LW freezes up during searches If you let it sit for about a minute or so, it resumes, but you lose connections and are basically starting from scratch. I even reverted back to an older version of LW and get the same result. I never had this problem in the older version but it seems to have gotten stuck in there somewhere. No solution yet but I will keep you posted on my progress. I was starting to think I was the only one with this problem. |
