Angry LWPro 3.6.6 Can't Open "Options" even after restart

Just installed LW Pro 3.6.6 on my G4 and can't open the "Options". I tried doing a restart and it did not help.

Can anyone help?

Salut, do a search in sherlock for limewire on all your harddisk. Select all files and trash them (be sure keep your dled files however..) then redl lwire from the lw website. It should work.

Bonne chance

Je suis désolé... May I suggest you to upgrade to mac os x 10.3 (available this weekend)? It is faster and more stable than os 9 on a quicksilver... and those problems will be gone... (I know it doesn't solve your problem directly but...)

Ciao

Did QuickTime have an upgrade to 6.4 for OS 9 too? It was causing trouble with Java apps like LW on OSX at least, and Apple is saying not to install it.

You can still get the 3.5.8 installer here

Did you submit a bug report so the developers can figure out what happened and post a fix if required? bugs@limewire.com

[salut et voilà! Panther--c'est bien? Peut-etre LW can run perpetually as a separate Ultrapeer no matter who is using the machine!]

Salut Stief, oui la panthère est très très bien! In fact I recommand it to anybody as it really boosted the speed on my imac 450. It got a lot more speed, interface polish (LW looks much better, and uses less memory under heavy load such as running as UP), and it has a lot of system wide improvements. The more you use panther the more you like it. I wouldn't go even back to jaguar now... Windows seems so poor these days...

Allez l'acheter, c'est dans votre intérêt!
Ciao

Thanks for the replies,

My QuikTime go to 6.0.3.

I think I will just go back to 3.5.8 for awhile, until they get some bugs worked out.

I also started having problems with it freezing up.

Thanks for the help. John

John, if you are also having freezes, could LW be running out of memory, especially if and when it kicks into Ultrapeer mode? The other idea would be to maybe check out the linksys firmware version. et voilà and I had fewer problems when we reverted to version 1.44.2, dated Dec 13 2002 for the routers we were using. Here's a link for the version tracker lists and comments . Just a couple of thoughts . . .

[merci et voilà pour la recommandation de la panthère--je l'achèterai en décembre]

I always give each LW 50000 added memory, so I don't think it would be that.

It is possible about the router. I don't know much about that stuff. I will pass the info to my son. He is the one that set up our network. We live in a rural area with no DSL or cable available, so we had to go to satilite broadband.

Thanks, again.
