![]() I'm on a Mac (OS X, pre-Jaguar), my modem is dial-up, I use AOL for OS X, and for the first time today, Limewire (the carbonized version) would only open as long as I wasn't connected to the internet. When AOL was up but I wasn't signed on, Limewire would open just fine. But when I connect to the internet, it stalls right after loading the core components. I get the swirling rainbow interminably. Again, this has never happened before -- Limewire has always worked pretty well with my AOL (although it had a tendency to get me kicked about five times an hour). Help? |

![]() Sounds like LW is trying to establish a lot of connections, hash a lot of files or is having Java problems. If you are using the latest version of LimeWire, might be a good time to trash all the old prefs and get a clean start. Try cleaning out your Incomplete folder and inspecting the Shared folders. For a clean install, search for any visible or invisible files containing "limew" See here for more http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=22359 |
